Advantages
/ disadvantages of the approach
• The
model can easily adapted to other catchments in the EU
but the requirement of data is large.
• The derived data and visualisations related to inundation
areas are important information to be used for other purposes,
e. g. for the EU WFD and localisation of protected areas
(wetlands) under CC
• Transferability of models and approaches
• The approach and the model (Modelling of CC Impact / Benefit-Analyses
and participation of stakeholders) contribute to improve
future decision processes also in other fields under CC
• The weights of parts of the tools
seems also be related to culture aspects - as there is for
instant how many data
will be derived ( to lower the uncertainty) before a decision
for precaution measures will be made (This means
how to deal with uncertainty belong not only to the subject
also to the
cultural aspects)
